The Hay Barn - Bed and Breakfast
Welcome to our 17th century farmhouse situated in a beautiful and peaceful corner of the rolling Somerset countryside. Our farmhouse has been lovingly restored and boasts a number of its original features including oak beams, flagstone floors, an inglenook fireplace and a wood burning stove.
The Hay Barn is a light and airy double bedroom luxuriously decorated in calming shades of gold, cream and dusky pinks complimented by a suite of pine furniture. The Hay Barn also features an en-suite shower room.
The Hay Barn overlooks our large herb garden, and also gives sight of our beautiful summerhouse, and the paved sun terrace below. Our gardens are featured in the 2012 National Garden Scheme along with Wick Farm who are just around the corner, calling ourself's 'Wick Gardens' for further information please go to www.ngs.org.uk then put in our post code BS24 0HG. We welcome you to explore them our gardens; why not relax in the tranquillity of the summerhouse, or take a stroll across the lawns to the rockery with its cascading waterfall, or perhaps sit and unwind in the pavilion overlooking the ornamental pond.
Or if you would prefer, why not sit and relax in one of two guest sitting rooms. The main lounge boasts an impressive inglenook fireplace; with an open gas flame effect fire, which is perfect for a cosy read. The second sitting room has a large TV and a number of original features including a flagstone floor and wood burning stove.
The Hay Barn is £65.00 per night for two people and includes a farmhouse breakfast. All meat and eggs are organic and sourced locally.
Vegetarians and specialist dietary requirements are catered for especially as Elaine is a vegetarian and gluten free so we are used to it.
Free wi-fi is available throughout your stay.
Check-in is from 2.00pm on the day of your arrival and we kindly request that your room is vacated by 11.00am on your day of departure unless agreed otherwise by prior arrangement.
